Waterhouse documentary

Thanks again to a post on Art Magick for this info. There is a new 50-minute Waterhouse documentary online! It's sublime to watch for anyone who enjoys the work of this brilliant artist. I was elated the whole time I was watching.

Note: The beginning of the film isn't in English, but the rest is.

I think you should mention it is in Dutch, but the images are wonderful.

Actually, it's not in Dutch. The very beginning is, but 90% of the documentary isn't.

Hello Grace,
Thanks for putting this link up. I really enjoyed it. I love seeing Waterhouse's paintings on the walls and houses of where they reside, though I have to admit to being a little horrified that Nymphs Finding The Head Of Orpheus was right next to the window! Wouldn't it fade in the sunlight? But I'm no expert. Wish I'd been alive in the 60's and I would have bought as many of his paintings as I could for 20-50 pounds each! Unbelievable. Thanks again,
Jim

Thanks so much for posting this. I'll have to take a look at it. Love your site, BTW.

Hi Jim. My goodness, I didn't notice that when I watched it! I did find it peturbing though that someone who owned several originals would call Waterhouse "not on par with Monet or anyone." (paraphrased)

Heck, if he feels that way, then give ME those originals! ;)

And thanks Mark! Glad you enjoyed it too!
