Oscar Wilde, Vampire Hunter

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. This is a real book cover.

(And yes, I will read it in case one of the Brotherhood shows up)

Photographer Aleksandra88

Well...I've got 3 new Pre-Raphaelite inspired photography posts to do, and all three are so stunning it would be unfair to post them all together.

First I wanted to share the work of DeviantArt photographer Aleksandra88. I think I just found this artist by a photo that caught my attention on the main page of DA.

Her work is just jaw-droppingly stunning, and very very dreamlike. She seems to have an uncanny way of capturing the beauty of the female form.

FYI...this means a lot of her port has nudity, so NSFW. Fair warning.

Love the colors in this one:

An interesting take on the traditional Ophelia...with the image upside down:

Something about this model's face reminds me a little of Jane Morris:

La Belle Dame Sans Merci

The poem La Belle Dame Sans Merci by Keats is...well, honestly, a bit of a personal obsession of mine. And I've wanted for a while to do some pictures inspired by it. But it would be hard to ever do anything half as glorious as these four images Viona Art just posted on her portfolio. I love how the first and fourth images are clearly inspired by Waterhouse, but the Lady using her scarf instead of her hair to pull him downward is a creative twist on the traditional image.

Beautiful images for a rainy Saturday morning!
